ABOUT US
Build a Brighter Future
The iMusic United is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded on the philosophy that music is an integral and invaluable part of life and the human experience. Our operations consist of five independent yet interdependent pursuits that include developing new music curricula, creating live performances to promote music and culture, encouraging the exchange of new ideas among music educators, coaching various workshops to educators/professional artists and providing scholarships to music education programs for underprivileged children. By underwriting music education for students and professionals alike, we at the iMusic United hope to improve the quality of life for those individuals we serve as well as enhance the long-term cultural development of the community as a whole.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to make music education accessible to all. Our goal is to implement appropriate, multi-cultural, and equitable opportunities for all students at all grade levels to participate in experiences provided through partnerships and collaborations.
We create connections between schools and other public facilities, and teachers, students, and musicians, so that they may mutually benefit one another. Within these networks, we introduce a learning experience, in which participants experience pride in learning, and a sense of achievement in their individual and conjoined efforts. In this way, they will be able to support one another and grow together.
Through a rigorous selection process, we have contracted 105 highly qualified credentialed teachers and 30 board-certified licensed music therapists in the Greater Los Angeles area. Our people are highly qualified in their fields and possess the integrity needed to carry out the organization's mission. We believe that an individual's values are paramount and that social conscience should act as a fundamental motivator.
All our funds are used to propel this ever-growing and interconnected design of music education to all those in need, both locally and nationally.

TESTIMONIALS
“The iMusic United has been a tremendous impact to our students and schools. For many reasons - they have provided music classes, appreciation and strong art focus for our youth to several schools in the Compton Unified School District.
We have had many responses from students that proved to us the desperate need to integrate music into our daily instruction. The principals have reported how iMusic has made learning more viable and fun for all the students.
It definitely has brought innovation and life to our daily work and more importantly, increased our attendance because the students do not want to miss out on music class. iMusic United and Miho Nomura has changed the landscape of the classroom in each school it has touched.“
Dr. Jacqueline Sanderlin, Executive Director School and Community Relations at Inglewood Unified School District
Carver Elementary School has been very fortunate to partner with iMusic United for the past two years. iMusic has provided our students unique opportunities to “experience the world” beyond the classroom walls. Research shows that learning increases when students actively engage in meaningful activities.
Thanks to iMusic, our students participate in many relevant activities such as yoga, jazz, choir, violin, arts, and drama, among others. iMusic does not only support the school’s vision for student achievement, but it has allowed us to transform our students’ learning experience into a life-changing one.
